Shirley Haley, photographer, writer, experienced mountain hiker and backpacker, and professional music teacher, lives with her husband, Jim, a longtime photographer, at Big Lake, Washington.
Shirley has been a member of National PhotoMarket for several years. She has publishing credits in: Augsburg, Simon Schuster, American Morgan, Sierra, Country, Chemical Engineering, Backpacker, The Learning Source, Christian Home & School, Decision, Marriage, On-The-Line, Pet Business, Morris Animal Foundation, International Reading Association, American Ostrich, Youth Law News, Pack & Paddle, Washington Northwest Signpost, Stevens Pass Greenway, Journal of Educational Publications, and more. She is listed in the Green Book of Natural History and Stock Photography, and is a member of Guiloyle Editions.
Shirley has shipped her framed prints to homes as far away as Sweden, Florida, Maryland, Nova Scotia, California, and Alaska. She really enjoys living and photographing in the Pacific Northwest. Her photographs are currently displayed at Wilson Framing, Valley Pharmacy, Padilla Bay Store and Rainbow Bridge Shirtworks in LaConner, Souvenirs of the Soul in Stanwood, Gran Partita in Edmonds, Chuckanut Log Design in Bellingham, Corner Drug Store in Pullman, Big Lake Grocery, Melody's Flowers in Burlington, and Shirley's music studio in Burlington.
She is president of the Skagit Art Association and a member of Washington State Music Teachers Association, of which she is a nationally and state certified teacher. She is also a charter member of NANPA-North America Nature Photography Association.
